This is the February design for the Round in Circles hardanger learning SAL, and this part contained the first bit of cutting. Eep!
It came out pretty nice, except for one place where I cut one thread too many, but it's not really visible unless you look really closely. And I'm not going to point out where it is, so there!
Overall, it was pretty easy except for trying to cover up my mistake, but I'm not too worried since the whole point of this SAL is for me to learn and make mistakes now, rather than on a larger project.
If you're interested in the SAL, you can still sign up!

Hi Rahenna, your finish is always so beautiful! Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteWow so beautiful x
ReplyDeleteGood for you! This looks really nice, and just think what great projects you can select when you've finished the SAL!
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing! I looked hard, and I couldn't see the mistake at all. And, if you are really concerned about it you could expand your skills even further and take a fabric thread from the edge and weave it into your work where you cut the extra thread. It isn't as hard as it sounds, just time consuming.
ReplyDeleteLooks great. I haven't been brave enough to try that yet.
ReplyDeleteThis looks perfect to me. I did sign up for this SAL last month - and am still struggling a little with January -- Yours are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great so far!
ReplyDeleteThis looks lovely. Cutting is always so scary! But usually you can reweave a thread in to cover the mistake.
